Meet Gabriel Tovar
Tovar Financial Group
Gabriel Tovar’s journey to Lasting Mark is a story of unexpected opportunity, personal growth, and a passion for serving others. Before entering the insurance industry, Gabriel worked as a pressman operating a 4-color press. It was a work-related accident that led him to reconsider his career, prompting a friend to introduce him to the insurance world. From that moment, Gabriel’s life would never be the same. “It was an accident that led me here, but it was the best decision I’ve made,” he says.
What drew Gabriel to Lasting Mark was the leadership and culture, which he describes as a “family feeling.” Having met company leaders like CEO Brian Askins and CVO Roger Short, Gabriel quickly recognized that Lasting Mark wasn’t just another insurance marketing organization—it was a community of like-minded individuals dedicated to helping each other succeed. “The leadership here is different. Brian is the most transparent leader I’ve ever dealt with, and Roger has been a great friend from the start,” Gabriel shares. For him, the emphasis on family values and integrity resonates deeply, and he is grateful to be part of such a supportive environment.
Since joining Lasting Mark, Gabriel has been equipped with the tools and guidance necessary to build a successful business. The company’s focus on structure, recruiting, and creating systems has been crucial in helping him grow both personally and professionally. “The support has been amazing, and the guidance in setting up systems has helped me in a huge way,” he says. This newfound financial freedom has allowed Gabriel to focus on what truly matters—spending quality time with his family and dedicating himself to ministry work.
Looking ahead, Gabriel’s legacy is built on inspiring others to achieve greatness and make a difference in their own lives. His advice for anyone considering a similar career path is simple: “Align yourself with the right people and mentors, learn systems and procedures quickly, and always do it for the right reasons—to help others.” For Gabriel, success isn’t just about business—it’s about using his platform to serve, motivate, and build lasting relationships.
